ChildFund in India, a child development organization, has been working with children, youth, and families experiencing deprivation, exclusion, and vulnerability from the most remote, and hard-to-reach areas in India, since 1951, with a vision to build “an India where children lead a dignified life and achieve their full potential”.
ChildFund International is one of the world’s leading child development organizations that operates in 23 countries reaching over 21.1 million children and their families globally. ChildFund International is a member of ChildFund Alliance – a global network of 11 child-centered development organizations working in 70 countries to implement long-lasting and meaningful changes for millions of children and families experiencing poverty.
ChildFund in India works in the rural belts of the country, now slowly expanding its focus to urban locations too, where child protection issues and violence against children are prevalent.
Its programs provide comprehensive support to children from conception until they reach 24 years of age by integrating health, nutrition, sanitation, gender equality, disability, education, skill training, livelihoods, child protection, and humanitarian relief work.
ChildFund in India works in 143 districts across 14 States. Through long-term and short-term programs, it annually reaches millions (4.7 in FY 23) of children, youth, and their families across the country. ChildFund’s interventions are aligned with age-specific and contextual needs, utilizing a unique Life-Stage approach.
